大同特殊鋼 raised its full-year IFRS forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027, projecting sales revenue up 17.6% year on year and adjusted operating profit up 12.7%, both at record highs. The recovery in orders during the first half and the consolidation of subsidiaries were cited as factors contributing to earnings.
大同特殊鋼 raised its full-year IFRS forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 from the forecast issued in May. Under the new forecast, both sales revenue and adjusted operating profit, which reflects underlying earnings, are expected to reach record highs.
Sales revenue is expected to increase 17.6% year on year, while adjusted operating profit is projected to rise approximately 12.7% from the same period a year earlier. This is expected to strengthen the company's earnings base.
During the first half, sales of high-performance products such as stainless steel and open-die forgings increased, driven by a recovery in orders for industrial machinery and higher orders related to semiconductors.
The same trend is expected to continue in the second half, and the consolidation of 日本高周波鋼業 and 東北特殊鋼 as subsidiaries is also expected to contribute to earnings.
