Kappa Sushi will offer its classic Edomae sushi “Vinegar-Cured Kohada” and fragrant “Seared Vinegar-Cured Kohada” for a limited time at all Kappa Sushi restaurants. The sales period is from 22 October to 11 November 2026.
Kappa Sushi will offer 2 types of nigiri made with vinegar-cured kohada for a limited time, allowing customers to enjoy the flavor of Edomae sushi with ease. The company explains that careful curing produces a refreshing flavor, while the kohada’s umami spreads across the palate.
The new menu comprises Vinegar-Cured Kohada and Seared Vinegar-Cured Kohada, which is seared to add a fragrant aroma. The description says customers can enjoy the changes in aroma and flavor produced by searing.
The sales period is from Thursday, 22 October 2026, to Wednesday, 11 November 2026, and the offer is available at all Kappa Sushi restaurants except those undergoing renovation or temporarily closed. The notice also states that items may sell out or sales may end early depending on weather, supply conditions and sales performance.
Each item is priced at ¥100 per piece (¥110 including tax), including both Vinegar-Cured Kohada and Seared Vinegar-Cured Kohada. The combination of vinegar curing and searing provides different flavor profiles.
