ドコモSMTBネット銀行 and 松井証券 are raising the ordinary yen deposit rate at MATSUI Bank to a maximum of 0.85% per year, among the highest in the market. The new rates will apply from 1 October 2026 across 3 tiers—Platinum, Gold and Regular—based on securities balances.
First, it was announced that MATSUI Bank's ordinary yen deposit rate would be raised to 0.85% per year (0.677% after tax), putting it among the highest in the industry. The new rates will be applied under a securities-balance-linked interest-rate program, with the applicable rate varying by the tier for which the customer qualifies.
The rates are set across 3 tiers: Platinum pays 0.85% per year for securities balances of ¥10 million or more, Gold pays 0.72% for balances of ¥1,000,000 or more, and Regular pays 0.61% for balances below ¥1,000,000.
Tier eligibility is determined based on the applicable balance at the end of each month's final business day, with the resulting tier applied two months later. Benefits including designation as a salary-receiving account and new account opening are also being offered.
Eligible customers are individuals aged 18 or older who reside in Japan. The new rates will apply from 1 October. Rates are variable, and the latest information will be provided in official announcements.
