PLAUD held a new-product presentation in Tokyo on 21 October and announced that the global cumulative number of users of its flagship Plaud series of AI voice devices had surpassed 3 million as of 30 September 2026. The number of stores carrying the products in Japan has exceeded 1,000, while adoption by companies and organisations has expanded to more than 16,000. The presentation highlighted expansion in the US and European markets and efforts to strengthen the domestic sales network.
Plaud's adoption is accelerating, and uses for organising conversations with AI are spreading worldwide as the user base grows. The service is expected to be used for a range of business activities, including preparing minutes, reviewing business discussions and sharing information, as the company continues to develop services combining dedicated devices and software.
In terms of its presence in global markets, the company introduced research from Euromonitor International showing that it ranked first in the AI meeting-recording device category by brand-level total retail sales pace. It also said the brand ranked 16th in the top 50 consumer AI apps ranking compiled by US venture capital firm a16z.
In Japan, the number of stores carrying the products surpassed 1,000 as of 18 August 2026. In addition to expanding its consumer sales network, the company is also expanding its corporate business, with expected uses including internal information sharing and operational improvements. PLAUD has begun offering new organisation-focused features such as Plaud Team and is strengthening data-protection policies and administrative functions including SSO.
