TOPPAN, the Kanda Curry Town Revitalization Committee and Toshiba have launched a pilot project to encourage repeat visits to the Kanda area. Kanda Curry Pay and Doko Ticket will be linked to provide QR ride certificates to visitors to the Kanda Curry Grand Prix.
TOPPAN, the Kanda Curry Town Revitalization Committee and Toshiba will conduct a pilot project to encourage repeat visits to the Kanda area and visits to multiple stores from 2 November 2026 to 31 January 2027. Users of Kanda Curry Pay® will receive QR ride certificates valid across all Tokyo Metro lines, and “Kanda Curry Pay®” will be linked with “Doko Ticket®”.
The pilot project will take place during the “14th Kanda Curry Grand Prix Final 2026.” Visitors who spend at least ¥2,000 in total using Kanda Curry Pay® will receive QR ride certificates, limited to the first 200 people each day and 400 people in total. The aim is to encourage repeat visits by combining purchases at participating stores with transportation even after the event ends.
The project addresses the issue that, although payment use during past events was high, usage after the events ended was limited. Advance online sales and links with transportation options will therefore be introduced. Doko Ticket® is an open platform for transportation tickets, and this initiative will seek to link local consumption with mobility.
Going forward, the parties will consider measures to promote use of Kanda Curry Pay®, as well as improvements to the conditions, period and communication methods for QR ride certificates, based on the findings of this pilot project. They will also consider rolling the initiative out to other events and regions, and will continue examining the sales framework and the potential to expand the model linking payments and transportation.
