Corona (Sanjo) lowered its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027, with its operating loss worsening to ¥400 million. Soaring raw-material costs and the weaker yen prompted cuts to revenue and profit forecasts, while the annual dividend was maintained at ¥28.
On the 29th, Corona announced downward revisions to its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027. The company expects the rise in raw-material costs to persist longer than anticipated, turning its previously announced profit forecast into a loss.
Revenue was cut from ¥86.0 billion to ¥84.5 billion, ordinary profit from ¥1.0 billion to ¥100 million, and net profit from ¥600 million to ¥100 million. The annual dividend forecast was maintained at ¥28.
The company reiterated that soaring prices for raw materials such as naphtha and the continuing weaker-yen trend are expected to weigh on results. On the same day, it also announced its interim results for the six months ended September 2026.
