The company shifted from its previous forecast of a 2.4% increase in profit to a decline in profit.
Progress toward the full-year plan of ¥485 million was only 23.3%, also below the three-year average of 28.3%.
Based on the first-half results announced by the company and its unchanged full-year plan, ordinary profit for the 9-2 month period (second half) is estimated to rise 7.2% year on year to ¥372 million.
Ordinary profit for the latest three-month period, the 6-8 month period, was an ordinary loss of ¥28 million, compared with an ordinary loss of ¥25 million in the same period of the previous year. The operating profit margin on sales deteriorated from -1.8% in the same period of the previous year to -2.2%.
