Niigata-based 岩塚製菓 will launch new split black-bean rice crackers flavored with Echigo miso. The 110g pack has a rich umami miso flavor, while the 30g single-serving pack will be launched at the same time.
岩塚製菓 announced that it will launch the new “110g split black-bean rice crackers, rich umami miso flavor” and the 30g single-serving “same” product on the 12th. The suggested retail price is approximately ¥370 for the 110g pack and approximately ¥140 for the 30g pack.
“Split black-bean rice crackers” are made from dough using 100% domestically produced rice, with soy sauce soaked into the broken surfaces. They are characterized by their rich umami flavor and roasted aroma.
This version is based on Echigo miso, with the richness and aroma of miso emphasized. It is part of the lineage of the company’s flagship “Iwatsuka black-bean rice crackers,” which are produced by the Niigata-based company. As of now, the launch date is set for the 12th, with 2 product formats: a standard size and a single-serving size.
