DJI today announced the new Osmo 360 II 360° camera. While retaining the foundation of its predecessor, the camera is reportedly equipped with a square HDR image sensor that delivers imaging equivalent to a 1-inch sensor. Dynamic range has been expanded to as much as 14.5 stops, reportedly enabling clear footage in both daylight and darkness.
Combined with the AI noise-reduction algorithm AI SuperNight 2.0, the camera is reportedly expected to improve image quality when shooting in low-light environments. It is reportedly capable of capturing 8K/60fps 360° video, while the combination of 2.4 μm pixels and a high-performance chip is said to produce footage with reduced motion blur. It also features ultra-high-hardness interchangeable lenses and 105 GB of built-in storage, reportedly improving portability and editing flexibility.
Supported use cases reportedly include motorcycling, diving, skiing, mountain biking/road cycling, and vlogging, with recording said to be startable through gesture or voice controls. Workflow efficiency is reportedly further enhanced through features including Spotlight Follow, NFC connectivity, and a plug-in for DaVinci Resolve.
In terms of sales, the Osmo 360 II reportedly goes on sale today at ¥93,610 for the Standard Combo and ¥110,990 for the Adventure Combo, and is scheduled to be displayed at IFA 2026. Separately sold accessories, a battery extension rod, special cases, and other products have also been announced.
