Pan Pacific International Holdings (PPIH) will acquire the domestic business of Toys“R”Us Japan and assume 154 stores, excluding the Ikebukuro store. The Ikebukuro store will close.
PPIH announced that it will acquire the Toys“R”Us Japan business and will assume operation of Toys“R”Us Japan stores in Japan.
As of the same date, PPIH Group's Operations Shared Services will proceed with the transfer of the stores and the continued employment of staff under the business transfer agreement with Toys“R”Us Japan.
The Ikebukuro store will be excluded from the stores to be assumed among all 154 stores, including the Ikebukuro store, and operations of the domestic business are expected to be transferred under PPIH.
Following the acquisition, the store network of the Toys“R”Us Japan business will be operated under the PPIH Group structure.
