An interview has been published in which Kurihara Sho (栗原 将) of リフォームテクノロジー discusses the background to the DX that changed industry practices through a fully online housing-equipment business, as well as the origin of the company name and the purpose of its IPO.
リフォームテクノロジー, which has completed a web-based installation model, introduced a system that receives photos from customers and completes quotations without site visits. It also handles component-specific failures in older homes and aims to resolve the supply-demand mismatch characteristic of the industry by improving profitability through online sales.
The company name, 「交換できるくん」, was chosen with an emphasis on being memorable and attracting search traffic in the housing-equipment industry, where demand arises over the long term. To ease concerns about its fully online model, the company sought to demonstrate its clean corporate profile through a listing, or IPO. It cited breaking down prejudice and infighting within the industry as objectives beyond raising capital.
