TV Tokyo and BS TV Tokyo will broadcast the annual New Year's Eve TOKYU Silvester Concert 2026-2027. The conductor will be Harada Keitaro (原田慶太楼), and the countdown piece will be Gershwin's “Rhapsody in Blue,” with Yokoyama Yukio (横山幸雄) and other distinguished performers appearing.
The TOKYU Silvester Concert 2026-2027 will be broadcast on TV Tokyo and other channels as a special New Year's Eve programme. It will air from 23:30 to 24:45 on 31 December 2026, marking the 32nd edition of the Silvester Concert. As in the official announcement, the concert's production and performers will centre on a programme featuring the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. Inagaki Goro (稲垣吾郎) will serve as host, and the event is scheduled to mark the transition into the new year both at the live venue and on television.
This year's conductor will be Harada Keitaro (原田慶太楼), who is internationally acclaimed as a masterful conductor. The theme is “Everyone watches. Everyone watches together. Classical music.” Harada has selected Gershwin's “Rhapsody in Blue” as the countdown piece. Yokoyama Yukio (横山幸雄) will appear as piano soloist and is expected to captivate audiences with a performance style drawing on the piece's jazz DNA.
In addition to the countdown piece, Hisasue Wataru (久末航), Sunada Airi (砂田愛梨) and Inagaki Goro (稲垣吾郎) will perform and appear in the programme. Hisasue Wataru (久末航) will perform a piano solo marking the start of the new year, while Sunada Airi (砂田愛梨) is scheduled to deliver a vibrant vocal performance as soprano. A two-piano performance, a first for the Silvester Concert, is also highlighted as one of the production's attractions.
The Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra will provide the music. Last year's popular live viewing will also be held simultaneously with this year's concert, allowing audiences to experience the event on cinema screens with cinema sound. The broadcasters will be TV Tokyo and its affiliated stations, as well as BS TV Tokyo. The official website provides details of the performance and information on the performers.
