TOKIUM disclosed that the cumulative number of receipts, invoices, contracts and other supporting documents digitized had exceeded 100 million sheets. This figure includes documents digitized through a system that integrates the company’s accounting AI agent with its cloud-based services. The initiative is intended to automate routine tasks such as opening and sorting paper receipts and invoices and storing original documents. As of May 2026, the number of companies using the service had exceeded 3,000.
More recently, demand for bulk digitization of historical contracts has increased in preparation for the new lease accounting standard, which will be mandatory for fiscal years beginning on or after April 2027. This has driven a significant increase in digitization volumes. TOKIUM has stated that it will continue promoting the automation and efficiency of accounting operations.
