Suzuki announced on 1 October that its new SV-7GX crossover model, equipped with a 645cc V-twin engine, will go on sale from 13 October. Prices start at ¥1,133,000 including tax.
The SV-7GX combines the sportiness carried over from the GSX-S1000GX concept with the comfort of an adventure model. It uses a steel trellis frame and a compact but practical 645cc V-twin engine. Output is 54kW at 8,500rpm and maximum torque is 64Nm at 6,800rpm. The seat height is 795mm, taking entry-level riders into consideration.
The motorcycle is equipped with S.I.R.S. (Suzuki Intelligent Ride System), along with SDMS, traction control and a bidirectional quickshifter. Practical features include a fuel tank with an approximate capacity of 15.7 litres and compact projector headlights. Suzuki's annual sales target for Japan is 840 units.
