Morinaga & Co. will launch Birch Branches Koeda as a new addition to its Koeda series on 13 October 2026. The product combines white chocolate, langue de chat cookies, cashews and puffed cereal, and features a reproduction of the 1979 package design to commemorate the 55th anniversary.
Birch Branches Koeda is a new product from Morinaga & Co., announced as a commemorative product featuring a reproduction design for the 55th anniversary of Koeda, a long-selling product first launched in 1971. It recreates the original packaging of Birch Branches Koeda, which was introduced as the first Koeda sub-flavor.
The product is based on white chocolate blended with langue de chat cookies, cashews and puffed cereal, creating a flavor and texture inspired by birch branches. It combines the familiar Koeda taste with a light texture and rich flavor.
The product weighs 44 grams and is listed at an open price (OP). It launches on 13 October 2026 and is presented in a size suited to seasonal occasions and gifting. Morinaga & Co. will manufacture the product.
Other new products in the series, including Koeda cookies and a milk-flavored variant, are also introduced as part of the group of launch articles for October 2026.
