SBS Holdings launched an initiative to integrate tire logistics and announced plans to expand its industry-specific platforms by acquiring logistics companies owned by manufacturers.
SBS Holdings, a leading 3PL provider, began an initiative to consolidate logistics across the tire industry, using Bridgestone Logistics, which it brought under its umbrella in October 2025, as a foothold. This is expected to accelerate efforts to centrally manage the entire process, from procuring tire raw materials through to delivery.
The company has already used the infrastructure of logistics companies owned by manufacturers that it acquired through M&A to develop shared logistics services and logistics platforms in the food and office equipment sectors. It plans to broaden the scope of these efforts and develop platforms for individual industries.
The new initiative is centered on developing a logistics network using 41 locations, strengthening the company's ability to address challenges in the tire industry. At the same time, it aims to expand scale and improve efficiency by deepening cross-industry collaboration while leveraging the strengths of acquired companies.
The company plans to add ¥60 billion in revenue through M&A by the fiscal year ending December 2030 and has indicated that it will continue pursuing M&A involving logistics companies owned by manufacturers and other targets.
