The Bank of Toyama has begun offering a new time deposit for individual customers, the Toyama Special-Rate Time Deposit. The interest rate is 1.3% for the 5-year term and 0.9% for the 1-year term.
A lump-sum deposit of ¥100,000 or more is required, and the eligible period runs through 29 January 2027. The deposit must be made in a single payment.
For 5-year deposits of ¥10 million or more, a catalog gift featuring regional specialties and traditional crafts is provided as a benefit. No tiered benefits are offered for deposits of less than ¥10 million.
