In September 2026, a total of 20 new funds were filed for the new NISA growth investment quota, focusing mainly on ultra-large-cap high-dividend stocks and thematic strategies. In September 2026, 20 new funds investing across a broad range of domestic and overseas equities, bonds and REITs were filed as eligible for the new NISA growth investment quota. They are organized and explained across 3 categories: focused, concentrated-investment and index funds; the FW (fund wrap) series; and balanced funds.
The focused, concentrated-investment and index group includes products focused on Japan's 10 highest-yielding stocks, financial-sector stocks only, or Asian technology stocks only. These products are expected to serve as satellite holdings in portfolios. Representative examples include the Nissay Japan Ultra-Large-Cap High-Dividend Stocks Top 10 Index Fund.
The FW (fund wrap) series covers 9 indexes from Resona Asset Management, including domestic equity, developed-market equity and emerging-market equity indexes. Existing fund wraps will also become available through the new quota.
Three balanced funds have been added to the new lineup and can also be invested in through the accumulation investment quota. They aim for stable investment by combining equities and bonds. Representative examples include the Tokio Marine Selection Balance 30, Rakuten Index 4-Asset Equal Balance Fund and Rakuten Index Japan 2-Asset Stable Balance Fund.
The rise of newly established funds targeting investors seeking distributions is another feature, with the number of products premised on regular distributions trending higher. This is accelerating efforts to meet demand for diversification and income gains.
