Kabuoku Taro (株億太郎), a part-time investor with assets exceeding ¥1 billion, predicts that funds will rotate into stocks outside the AI and semiconductor sectors. A scenario is being discussed in which the Nikkei 225 resumes its rise toward the ¥70,000 range and ultimately targets ¥100,000.
Funds have so far been concentrated in major moves involving AI and semiconductor stocks, but Kabuoku Taro (株億太郎), a part-time investor with assets exceeding ¥1 billion, expects money to flow into stocks outside AI as well. He reportedly anticipates that, after the backlash from sharp rises that ignored PER and PBR, stock prices will converge toward appropriate levels overall. The Nikkei 225 is expected to move in line with these stocks, repeatedly advancing and retreating. It was also suggested that funds will spread to stocks that had previously been overlooked.
Kioxia Holdings has announced that it will carry out a 3-for-1 stock split starting in October this year. The reduction in the minimum investment amount is expected to lower the barrier to investing. At the same time, concerns were raised that increased production by competitors in South Korea and China could lead to oversupply, and the view was expressed that the market’s one-sided focus on AI and semiconductors will gradually ease. Kabuoku Taro (株億太郎) said that if funds continue to rotate across a broad range of stocks, the scenario in which the Nikkei 225 once again targets the ¥70,000 range by year-end and eventually reaches ¥100,000 will become increasingly realistic.
