In the 2026 Michelin Guide, 5 properties, including THE HIRAMATSU HOTELS & RESORTS, were featured in the Michelin Key Hotel Selection for Japan’s ryokan and hotel category. Each property was recognised for its individual character and guest experience.
THE HIRAMATSU HOTELS & RESORTS Karuizawa Miyota was selected for 2 Michelin Keys for the second consecutive year, following last year’s recognition. It is a forest grand auberge with a main building and villas on the grounds, and all guest rooms feature a terrace and an open-air bath.
Four properties, including THE HIRAMATSU HOTELS & RESORTS Atami, were newly selected for 1 Michelin Key. Their guest experiences, refined over many years, were recognised. Three properties were featured with 1 Michelin Key for the third consecutive year.
The three properties in Kashikojima, Sengokuhara and Ginoza received 1 Michelin Key for the third consecutive year, while Atami was newly added to the selection to mark its 10th anniversary. All 13 rooms at THE HIRAMATSU HOTELS & RESORTS Atami have ocean views and hot-spring baths.
