PeopleX has raised ¥5.45 billion in Series A financing and announced the development of Athena, a large language model platform focused on human resources. The company also disclosed a medium-term plan aimed at an IPO.
PeopleX, which develops AI products for the human resources and sales sectors, announced that it raised ¥5.45 billion in a Series A round on 2 September 2026. The financing comprised a combination of equity and debt, with the funds expected to be used for nationwide expansion and further development of existing products, as well as expansion of the sales network.
The centerpiece of the announcement is the development of MotherAI OS, built around Athena, a human resources-focused large language model that PeopleX operates in its own environment. Athena is designed to limit the risk of hallucinations and autonomously present solutions to issues faced by employees, HR departments and customers. New products including Personal Brain, Strategic Brain and Customer Brain were announced on this foundation.
The company plans to expand its functionality to provide end-to-end support from recruitment through training and performance evaluation, and will roll out products including an AI recruitment concierge and PeopleX AI Talent Intelligence. It also plans to launch PeopleX AI Sales, an AI-native product for the sales sector, in the near term, followed by products for marketing, SDR, BDR and customer success by spring 2027.
Following the financing, the company adopted a medium-term management plan targeting ¥100 billion in revenue in FY2031 and indicated that it plans to pursue approximately 20 M&A transactions involving organizational consulting, recruitment, HR technology and sales-related companies. Cumulative funds raised since its founding are expected to reach ¥7.82 billion, while the company will also strengthen its expansion across Asia and Oceania, centered on its base in Vietnam.
