An online seminar explaining the latest developments in the Specified Skilled Worker Program will be held on 28 October 2026. It will organise and explain, from the perspective of corporate human resources strategy, the expanding acceptance framework and intake ceilings, tighter support requirements, and developments relating to Specified Skilled Worker Status No. 2.
Aidem Global announced that it will hold a free online seminar organising and explaining the latest news surrounding the Specified Skilled Worker Program as of October 2026. In addition to the online broadcast, a recording will be available for 2 days. The seminar will be held in Japanese, and participating companies will be sent a URL.
The seminar will cover the expansion of the Specified Skilled Worker Program. While acceptance is expected to expand into new fields such as logistics warehouses, linen supply and resource recycling, it will also explain changes companies need to understand, including management of intake ceilings by field, revisions to support systems and changes to the Specified Skilled Worker Status No. 2 system.
Specifically, it will address the impact of intake ceilings on companies’ hiring plans, tighter requirements for registered support organisations, steps companies should take in preparing for future recruitment, and the importance of training, retention and career advancement with a view to Specified Skilled Worker Status No. 2 after recruitment.
The speaker will be Yuya Kitano (北野雄哉) of Aidem Global, who draws on his experience supporting the employment of foreign nationals to handle everything from recruitment plan design and onboarding support to retention follow-up. As of the end of September 2026, he cites results including 5,000 Specified Skilled Workers, 120 participants in the Hanoi University of Science and Technology cooperative education program, and 212 interns.
