As an update on initiatives under the partnership agreement with Osaka Prefecture, this report covers the collaboration menu offered at the prefectural government cafeteria in August 2026 and the status of activities at the Food Environment Co-creation Meeting.
Kewpie and Osaka Prefecture entered into a business partnership agreement in December 2024. As part of the initiatives under the agreement, this blog reports on the collaboration menu offered at the cafeteria in the main building of the Osaka Prefectural Government Office, one of the venues. The menu was available for 5 days from 24 to 28 August, with approximately 150 customers per day and around 30 meals served during the period. Customers commented that the menu contained plenty of vegetables and that the sesame dressing was effective.
Osaka Prefecture is also promoting the Food Environment Co-creation Meeting for Osaka, the city of food, through collaboration among industry, government and academia. For this initiative, the Osaka soul food okonomiyaki was selected as the theme, and a health-conscious menu was created through the development of a new recipe and nutritional profiling. It was introduced as a menu meeting the V.O.S. criteria of at least 120g of vegetables, a fat energy ratio of no more than 30% and salt equivalent of no more than 3.0g. Osaka Prefecture plans to continue working with Kewpie to promote its wider adoption.
