ROHTO Pharmaceutical has raised its full-year earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027. Under the revised plan, which reflects strong performance in Asia, Japan and Europe and the weaker yen, the company forecasts net sales of ¥372.3 billion and operating profit of ¥45.0 billion, among other figures.
ROHTO Pharmaceutical announced on 6 August that it had raised its consolidated full-year earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027. The revision reflects first-quarter results that exceeded expectations, as well as a review of its FX assumptions.
Under the revised forecast, net sales are expected to be ¥372.3 billion (¥369.5 billion in the previous forecast), operating profit ¥45.0 billion (¥43.8 billion), ordinary profit ¥47.4 billion (¥46.1 billion), and net profit ¥35.2 billion (¥34.5 billion). Net sales are expected to increase 0.8%, operating profit 2.7%, ordinary profit 2.8%, and net profit 2.0%.
The factors behind the revision include changing the assumed exchange rates from ¥155 to ¥158 per dollar and from ¥22 to ¥23 per Chinese yuan, as well as strong performance across all segments in the first quarter. All indicators are expected to exceed the previous forecast.
Compared with the previous fiscal year, which ended in March 2026, net sales are expected to increase from ¥343.725 billion to ¥372.3 billion, operating profit from ¥41.118 billion to ¥45.0 billion, and net profit from ¥34.247 billion to ¥35.2 billion. The company notes that actual results may differ depending on future factors.
