One of Taiwan's largest camera shows, the Taipei Photography Equipment and Audiovisual Creative Equipment Exhibition, was held from 2 to 5 October 2026. Some exhibitors allowed visitors to make purchases on the spot, while attendees enjoyed model photography sessions and various demonstrations.
Taiwan's camera show is one of the country's largest exhibitions, featuring not only photography and video equipment but also audio equipment and software. This year's event was smaller due to the impact of a camping and fishing equipment exhibition, and the booths were arranged across the same floor. Exhibitors led by distributors stood out, with few companies maintaining local subsidiaries, and visitors could make purchases on the spot.
There were 21 exhibiting brands, with the four camera manufacturers primarily represented by Canon, Sony, Nikon and Fujifilm. DJI's booth was located in the camera area, while Insta360 and GoPro were placed in the camping equipment area, giving the booth layout a distinctly different feel from events in Japan.
The display of new products was limited. Few products that had been announced but not yet launched were on display, and there were also few reference exhibits. Pre-release information on the EOS R8 Mark II was limited to a light-hearted introduction, while pre-orders remained open.
GODOX's C100, a camera equipped with a viewfinder, was on sale as one of the items attracting attention. Peripheral equipment such as lens bags and straps was also available. Booths offering model photography experiences drew strong interest, and visitors also showed interest in photography areas and cosplay events.
