Eurus Energy Group signed a virtual PPA with 3 Toyota Group companies using an onshore wind farm and began supplying environmental value on 1 October.
A group company of Eurus Energy Group signed a virtual PPA with Toyota Boshoku, Tokai Rika and Chuo Seiki covering an onshore wind farm, established a framework to supply the farm's non-FIT non-fossil certificates, and began supplying environmental value. The supply is equivalent to approximately 60 million kWh per year, with CO2 reductions estimated at approximately 26,580 tonnes.
The Yurihara Kogen Wind Farm consists of 17 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 3.1MW, for a total grid-connected output of 51MW. After beginning operations in December 2015, it switched to the FIP scheme in May 2026. This is the first virtual PPA using an onshore wind farm that has switched to FIP.
Since June, the Toyota Tsusho Group has been supplying the environmental value generated by 30MW of wind farms in the Kyushu region to 12 business partners of Tokai Rika as a CO2-free electricity plan. Fifty percent of the plan's environmental value comes from wind power, with the remainder procured by Mirais. The supply covers 16 sites, with annual CO2 reductions estimated at approximately 2,219 tonnes.
