ヤマタネ and エアロネクスト announced that they will jointly develop a new agricultural drone operating model that separates on-site work from flight control, with the aim of putting next-generation operations using AI and remote flight management into practical use.
ヤマタネ and エアロネクスト entered into a business partnership agreement dated 24 August 2026 and announced plans to put next-generation agricultural operations, including pesticide spraying and field management, into practical use to address challenges such as labor shortages and the aging of the agricultural workforce.
As a key initiative under the partnership, the companies will jointly develop a new agricultural drone operating model that separates on-site work from flight control and operations. They also aim to establish an operating model in which a single operator manages multiple aircraft using simultaneous remote autonomous flight-control technology. Field trials will be conducted mainly with ヤマタネ’s business partners, and the results are scheduled to be rolled out nationwide to agricultural service providers.
Over the longer term, the companies will consider enhancing AI-powered farming support services, improving operational efficiency and optimizing work by using flight and field data, and building an aerial infrastructure that can be applied not only to agriculture but also to logistics and disaster preparedness. Based on the results of the field trials, they envisage a nationwide rollout as a standard service.
