ソラコム began selling the LTE-enabled outdoor cloud camera “Sorakame Pro” on 28 October. It is intended for remote monitoring of construction progress, material deliveries and other on-site activities.
ソラコム has begun selling “Sorakame Pro,” an outdoor device integrating an LTE communications module, camera, and dust- and water-resistant enclosure. Once power is secured, users can immediately connect to the cloud and start viewing video.
Sorakame Pro supports continuous cloud recording, motion-triggered recording, and real-time viewing. Video can be viewed from a computer web browser or the smartphone app “Sorakame Viewer,” and the device can be managed together with existing Sorakame equipment.
Outdoor installation often requires additional communications equipment and a waterproof enclosure, but Sorakame Pro integrates these functions to simplify initial setup.
Image quality is HD (720p), with 4× optical zoom, a 123-degree diagonal field of view, infrared night vision, and IP65 dust and water resistance. For AI integration, combining the device with SORACOM Flux is expected to enable image analysis of recorded video and the use of on-site data.
