大日本塗料 announced that it expects consolidated net profit for the fiscal year ending March 2027 to increase 3.4-fold from the previous fiscal year to ¥5.8 billion. It revised its forecasts for revenue to ¥100 billion and operating profit to ¥8 billion, both upward from its previous forecasts.
Profit was boosted by the recognition of a ¥410 million gain on the sale of its consolidated subsidiary in China, while the recovery in sales of coatings for structures also contributed. The company also explained that price revisions in response to higher raw material costs had an impact.
On the same day, earnings forecasts for Japanese companies for April–September 2026 were also revised upward. Revenue is expected to rise 12% year on year to ¥51.3 billion, while net profit is expected to increase 2.4-fold to ¥3.4 billion, with both forecasts revised upward from the previous estimates.
