The Kinki Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry has published the results of a survey on facilitating foreign-capital partnerships by mid-sized and small companies. The policy calls for closer collaboration among relevant organizations to strengthen the role of such partnerships as an option for overseas expansion.
This report presents the results of a survey on work related to operating and compiling the results of a study group for fiscal 2025, aimed at facilitating foreign-capital partnerships between mid-sized and small companies in Kansai and ASEAN companies. Its objectives are to raise awareness of foreign-capital partnerships and enable domestic companies to consider these partnerships as part of their growth strategies.
The survey results present a two-pronged approach to developing projects originating from domestic needs among companies seeking overseas business strategies. The first is to undertake initiatives that help clarify overseas business strategies, and the second is to develop projects centered on domestic companies with clearly defined strategies. The results identify further strengthening collaboration among support organizations as important.
Specific practical actions for support organizations include planning and holding public-private seminars on foreign-capital partnerships, conducting study sessions, implementing talent development programs, running site-visit programs, establishing a one-stop support framework, and holding information-sharing meetings.
The executive summary and full version of the survey report have each been published as PDF materials. Information on fiscal 2026 site-visit programs and seminars is also provided as related information.
