eヘルスケア, a subsidiary of Toho Holdings, announced that personal information, primarily physicians' names and email addresses, may have been leaked following unauthorized access. The information involved includes physician names, email addresses and medical institution names.
Toho Holdings announced that its subsidiary eヘルスケア, which operates a medical institution search website, had suffered unauthorized access to the external email delivery system "Blastmail," potentially resulting in the leakage of personal information. The leaked information primarily concerns physicians' names and email addresses.
The information that may have been leaked includes approximately 8,000 physician names and email addresses, approximately 1,000 medical institution names, and the birth dates of approximately 30 physicians. Addresses, telephone numbers and credit card information are unlikely to have been included.
At present, eヘルスケア IDs are reportedly not included among the lists in which Blastmail has confirmed leakage. The affected data consists of emails sent using the system, including those for survey services for physicians. The company is expected to continue considering its investigation and response.
