Maxell has begun joint research with Institute of Science Tokyo on next-generation batteries using an aqueous composite quasi-solid electrolyte. The research aims to reduce fire risk and curb data center operating costs.
Maxell has begun joint research with Specially Appointed Professor Shiratori Yosuke (白鳥 洋介) and others at Institute of Science Tokyo. The technology under study is a new type of battery that utilizes an aqueous composite quasi-solid electrolyte.
The joint research aims to reduce fire risk through the use of an aqueous composite quasi-solid electrolyte containing water molecules, thereby helping to reduce the burden of fire protection equipment at data centers and lower overall equipment operating costs.
The research team includes Specially Appointed Professor Shiratori Yosuke (白鳥 洋介) and others from Institute of Science Tokyo.
