By acquiring CREO's IP licensing business platform, Sockets Inc. will strengthen its IP licensing-related businesses, including apparel, events and e-commerce, and pursue business expansion using its DMP. The transfer agreement was signed on 30 September 2026 and became effective on 1 October.
Sockets Inc. acquired an IP licensing business platform from CREO (Minato-ku, Tokyo). The platform covers apparel, merchandise, events, e-commerce and other IP licensing businesses built around collaborations with anime, manga, game and talent properties, cosplayers and others.
CREO has a track record and expertise in IP licensing, including collaboration with cosplayer Enako (えなこ), entertainment experiences, events at tourism facilities and the merchandising of popular anime IP.
By combining the platform with its proprietary DMP dedicated to the entertainment sector, Sockets Inc. will expand its business scope to creator support, co-production, distribution support, marketing, collaboration merchandise, e-commerce and experiential events.
The company said it will disclose supplementary materials and other future updates as appropriate.
