AlphaDrive has officially launched a full-scale rollout as IPIN LABS' exclusive agent in Japan and will pursue business expansion in the Japanese market. The rollout began in September 2026, with technical validation at SHIMIZU CORPORATION launched as the first proof of concept (PoC).
AlphaDrive has entered into an exclusive agency agreement for Japan with IPIN LABS, a provider of indoor positioning technology from South Korea that uses deep learning, and launched a full-scale rollout in Japan in September 2026. Through this initiative, the company aims to support the advancement of AX and DX in Japan's manufacturing, healthcare and large-scale facilities sectors.
IPIN LABS' technology uses existing Wi-Fi and BLE infrastructure to enable AI to automatically generate indoor maps and positioning models. It is presented as offering deployment in a shorter period than conventional solutions, with positioning accuracy of 1 to 5 meters and a deployment period as short as 24 hours.
As part of its future plans, the company has begun technical validation at SHIMIZU CORPORATION's innovation hub, Onko Soshin no Mori NOVARE, as its first proof of concept (PoC). Several upcoming exhibitions and trade shows were also identified, with the aim of creating specific opportunities for application in the Japanese market.
The initiative forms part of a strategic partnership between AlphaDrive and IPIN LABS, with the stated aim of accelerating business development in the Japanese market.
