The Ministry of Economy and Environment has opened a call for applications from Ukrainian technology companies wishing to participate in the 2026 Japan-Ukraine Advanced Technology Business Forum. The event will be held on 20 October in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture.
Approximately 20 Ukrainian technology companies are expected to participate. They will include companies selected through business missions organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), as well as companies chosen through the Ministry of Economy and Environment's open selection process. Selected companies will be able to introduce their products and solutions to Japanese companies, investors and related organizations, and B2B meetings, business matchmaking and exhibitions will also be held. Participants will also receive training on Japan's business environment before traveling to Japan.
For Ukrainian companies, the event may provide opportunities to enter the Japanese market and create joint ventures with local partners. The program also includes a visit to CEATEC and participation in business matchmaking-related events in Tokyo.
Applications will be accepted through 28 August 2026, and participating companies will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses. The organizers will provide documents required for Japanese visa applications. The forum in Kobe is expected to give Ukrainian companies an opportunity to showcase their achievements in international markets and build direct relationships with partners in Japan.
