ニッカトー announced after the market close on 18 September that it had revised its first-half ordinary profit forecast upward from its previous forecast, with first-half record-high profit expected for the first time in 19 periods. It also raised its full-year forecast and increased its dividend for the period.
ニッカトー disclosed that it had revised its ordinary profit forecast for the first half of the current fiscal year upward from its previous forecast of ¥630 million to ¥860 million, compared with ¥520 million in the same period last year. As a result, first-half profit is expected to come in substantially above the previous forecast.
The company also raised its full-year ordinary profit forecast from ¥1.15 billion to ¥1.29 billion, compared with ¥1.14 billion in the same period last year. The increase in profit is therefore expected to widen.
Following the strong first-half performance, the company also revised its dividend for the current fiscal year, raising the first-half dividend from ¥11 to ¥15 and announcing a full-year dividend of ¥27.
