The 42nd KONAMI OPEN Swimming Championships have been confirmed. The event will be held on 20 and 21 February 2027 at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre, where athletes ranging from elementary school students to members of the Japan national team will compete on the same stage.
The KONAMI OPEN Swimming Championships Organizing Committee announced that the 42nd championships will be held over 2 days, on Saturday, 20 February 2027 and Sunday, 21 February 2027, at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre in Koto-ku.
The championships are one of Japan’s leading open swimming competitions and are sanctioned by the Japan Swimming Federation, a public interest incorporated foundation. Swimmers from Japan and overseas, including members of the Japan national team, are expected to seek entry. Top swimmers and athletes who have trained at swimming schools across Japan are expected to compete in close-fought races.
Outstanding athletes at the championships are scheduled to be selected as candidates for support under the Kozuki Foundation’s 2027 sports-athlete support program.
