Anthropic is in talks to acquire NVIDIA-backed Decart AI, at a potential valuation of approximately $6 billion. The discussions are at an early stage, and if completed, Decart’s personnel are expected to be integrated into Anthropic’s inference division.
Anthropic is considering the acquisition of NVIDIA-backed Decart AI. The negotiations remain at an early stage, and the valuation if the acquisition goes through could reach approximately $6 billion, according to reports.
Decart AI develops AI models such as Lucy, which can edit video in real time, and Oasis, which generates training and testing environments for robotics and autonomous driving. The technologies could enable Anthropic to strengthen its computing capacity and request throughput.
Decart AI raised $300 million in a funding round led by Radical Ventures in May 2026, with NVIDIA also participating as a new investor. The acquisition talks are taking place as Anthropic prepares for an IPO.
Anthropic has declined to comment specifically on the acquisition, but reports say that if the discussions result in an agreement, Decart’s technology and personnel are expected to join Anthropic’s inference division.
