日本M&Aセンター has expanded its overseas M&A business by establishing local subsidiaries in 5 ASEAN countries and has supported Japanese companies in expanding overseas. It now has local operations in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia, and is pursuing global expansion by strengthening domestic partnerships and overseas alliances.
After 10 years in business, 日本M&Aセンター launched its overseas business and has worked to establish local subsidiaries and develop local markets, primarily in ASEAN. It initially began operations in Singapore, laying the groundwork for the expansion of M&A and the creation of transactions through direct approaches to local companies and collaboration with local accounting firms and financial institutions.
It has now established local subsidiaries in 5 countries: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia. Its organization has grown to approximately 65 people, and transactions in Southeast Asia have continued to increase steadily. In Japan, amid growing demand for overseas M&A, it has strengthened information dissemination and educational initiatives through collaboration with government agencies and regional financial institutions, as well as programs involving visits to local markets.
The company points to securing talent and leadership by management as important challenges in overseas expansion. Going forward, it plans to expand its network from its ASEAN base to the United States, Europe and East Asia, promoting overseas M&A for mid-sized and small and medium-sized companies with a view to the global market.
As targets for its overseas business, it has set annual sales of ¥10 billion and 100 completed transactions, aiming to serve as a bridge connecting Japan and the world through Asia. With 2026 marking its 35th anniversary, it positions the next 10 years as a “second founding phase” and will pursue its growth strategy.
