Saint Marc Holdings released its September monthly sales information. Group total-store sales were 105.5% year on year and existing-store sales were 103.0%, with both exceeding the prior-year levels.
By format, excluding those acquired through M&A, existing formats posted total-store sales of 108.9% and existing-store sales of 105.6%, both up year on year. Meanwhile, M&A formats operated by Kyoto Katsugyu, Gyukatsu Motomura and La Madrague posted total-store sales of 91.3% and existing-store sales of 90.5%, both below the prior-year levels.
The company identified changes in travel trends to the Asian region after Lunar New Year as a factor behind the decline in sales. It also explained that the decline in the number of stores associated with the transfer of the Kyoto Katsugyu business contributed to the decline in total-store sales.
