アドウェイズ・エナジー will enter the low-voltage grid-connected battery storage business and participate in an operational project organized by GATES. From April 2026, small-scale battery storage systems will be eligible to participate in the balancing market, supporting efforts to use idle land as distributed power sources.
アドウェイズ・エナジー, a subsidiary of Adways Inc., announced that it will participate in an operational project organized by GATES株式会社 as it enters the low-voltage grid-connected battery storage business. A regulatory framework is scheduled to be established in April 2026, allowing low-voltage grid-connected battery storage systems with grid-connected output below 50kW to participate in the balancing market and other markets. This participation is expected to form part of efforts to use idle land in urban and suburban areas as distributed power sources.
As its first step into the business, アドウェイズ・エナジー has endorsed the project and aims to accumulate operational expertise in battery storage while expanding the business over the longer term. The group has so far focused its operations on the digital sector, but is shifting toward a policy that emphasizes contributing to the stable supply and sustainability of social infrastructure.
