SWCC has launched the new digital solutions business “Regana” and announced plans to streamline the renovation and management of facilities and equipment through the use of digital technology. This includes using the VR and other technologies developed by an acquired company for training in power cable installation.
To address on-site customer needs, such as renovating substations and factories, SWCC will apply a method that converts video captured with general-purpose devices such as smartphones and drones into a 3D virtual reality space. It also aims to expand new business opportunities into fields such as steelmaking and copper smelting.
