BATONZ will begin offering the BATONZ Buyout Buddy (B×3) service, including support for launching an M&A division and BPO services, in October for companies pursuing M&A as a growth strategy. Honbata Hiroto (本畑弘人) has been appointed senior adviser.
First, BATONZ has launched BATONZ Buyout Buddy (B×3), an integrated support service for buyer companies. The service covers everything from strategy formulation and deal sourcing to acquisition execution and PMI planning, and is offered through 3 plans.
The 3 plans are Buyout Buddy Sourcing, Buyout Buddy Coaching and Buyout Buddy Outsourcing, covering the search for potential acquisition targets, support for establishing an in-house M&A division, and comprehensive support for M&A execution, respectively. B×3 leverages one of Japan's largest deal platforms and is characterized by an active approach to sourcing deals rather than simply waiting for them.
The background includes growth in Japan's M&A market and initiatives supporting mid-sized and small businesses, including growth in the number of deals completed by private-sector organizations and government measures to support growth. BATONZ says it will expand its buyer-focused support by drawing on its track record of completed deals.
Honbata Hiroto (本畑弘人) has been appointed senior adviser. He commented that he will use his experience in the capital markets and M&A execution to advance support through service enhancement and the development of a community for business owners.
A profile of Honbata (本畑) was also provided, summarizing his past achievements and current position. Going forward, the company plans to support mid-sized M&A transactions by growth companies and listed companies.
