Starting Leg 1 from 2nd place, Shiode Shota (塩出翔太) moved into the lead in Leg 2, and the team continued to extend its lead conservatively. Yamamoto Ayumu (山本歩夢) maintained the lead with a strong performance in Leg 3, setting a new leg record of 31:40.
In the second half, Kameda Jinichiro (亀田仁一路) completed the 15.5 km in 45:07, a new leg record, establishing a winning position. クラフティア finished 2nd in 4:21:06, while Yaskawa Electric finished 3rd in 4:21:37, putting the top 3 teams within reach of qualification for the New Year Ekiden. Nishitetsu, Kurosaki Harima, Toyota Motor Kyushu, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and ひらまつ病院 followed in 4th place and below.
