The “Superplay: Graphic Design from Rotterdam” exhibition will be held at Kyoto ddd Gallery from 4 November 2026 to 13 January 2027. It is organized by the DNP Foundation for Cultural Promotion and curated by Goto Tetsuya (後藤哲也).
The DNP Foundation for Cultural Promotion has announced that it will hold the “Superplay: Graphic Design from Rotterdam” exhibition at Kyoto ddd Gallery from 4 November 2026 to 13 January 2027.
The exhibition introduces design from the port city of Rotterdam. Its title is a coined term combining “Super Graphic,” referring to graphic design that extends beyond the dimensions of paper into space, and “Play.” The exhibition highlights the playfulness of Dutch design and its tendency to expand into space.
The exhibition is curated by Goto Tetsuya (後藤哲也), with exhibition and graphic design by Studio Spass and Team Thursday.
The exhibition is presented in the context of Rotterdam, which is home to contemporary architecture firms such as OMA and MVRDV, and introduces the distinctive design of the city.
