MyDearest株式会社 has acquired all shares of Roblox game studio moze, making it a wholly owned subsidiary. Through the acquisition, the company announced that it will strengthen its support for businesses in the Roblox sector, from planning and development through post-release operations and overseas expansion.
moze is a Roblox studio originating in Japan, with a track record of joint development with Japanese companies and IP holders. Following the acquisition, moze’s Roblox-focused team will be integrated with MyDearest’s expertise in game development, IP operations and expansion into the North American market, creating an operating structure covering multiple platforms, including Steam and VR as well as Roblox.
As part of the organisational changes, Shogo Matsusako (松迫翔悟) will become moze’s new representative director, while Kazutaka Yokoi (横井一隆), its current representative director, will leave the position. Under CEO Kento Kishigami (岸上健人), MyDearest is pursuing initiatives aimed at achieving global hits, with a focus on the Roblox sector.
Going forward, the company plans to strengthen its expansion in North America and provide proposals for corporate Roblox development that combine expertise from XR conferences and Mogura NEXT.
