U.S. law firm ALC has opened a new office in the Tokyo Sankei Building in Otemachi, Tokyo. Formally announced on 25 September 2026, the office will strengthen its cross-border legal support for Japanese companies seeking access to the U.S. markets.
Anthony, Linder & Cacomanolis, PLLC (ALC), a U.S. law firm, announced the formal opening of a new international office in the Tokyo Sankei Building. The move will expand its legal support framework to facilitate Japanese companies' access to the U.S. public markets.
The new Tokyo office will advise the boards of Japanese companies and financial sponsors on listing methods including initial public offerings (IPOs), de-SPAC transactions, direct listings and reverse mergers. It will provide legal advisory services for new listings on Nasdaq and the NYSE, cross-border M&A and corporate reorganizations.
ALC has handled transactions totaling more than $25 billion and has advised on securities law matters for Nasdaq in connection with Japanese companies' direct listings. Local partner Craig Linder will remain involved with the Tokyo office and is expected to work directly with local clients and advisers.
In addition to supporting public offerings and listings, ALC provides information and legal support in English and Japanese, including commentary on U.S. regulatory developments, SEC compliance and corporate governance spanning two jurisdictions.
