フォロフライ has begun taking orders for the new kei truck, “FKT.” It features a cargo bed approximately 1.67 m long, a maximum payload of 350 kg, a 225 km driving range and rear-wheel drive, along with a 30 kWh battery and support for multiple charging standards.
Commercial EV maker フォロフライ has begun taking orders for its new kei truck model, “FKT.” Jointly developed with ASF, the model marks the company’s full-scale entry into Japan’s kei truck market. Its exterior conforms to kei-car standards, and it is presented as being designed for use without significantly changing day-to-day work procedures.
The cargo bed measures 1669 mm long by 1380 mm wide, with 370 mm-high sideboards and a floor height of 660 mm. The vehicle supports a maximum payload of 350 kg and maintains a loading and unloading workflow equivalent to that of conventional gasoline-powered vehicles. It uses rear-wheel drive and an electric motor producing 30 kW of power, equivalent to approximately 41 horsepower, with maximum torque of 120 N·m.
The battery is a 30 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, and the driving range is 225 km under WLTC-equivalent conditions. Charging takes approximately 5 hours using 6 kW standard charging and approximately 1 hour using fast charging. When a nighttime electricity plan is used, running costs are estimated at approximately ¥2.7 to ¥3 per km. Practical features include a built-in AC 100 V outlet.
The vehicle is offered at an open price, with individual pricing guidance required at the time of purchase. Subsidies may reduce the price by up to ¥873,000. The vehicle may be suitable for businesses seeking to reduce loading and delivery costs while pursuing decarbonization.
