Initiatives to promote Professional Engineer certification include organization-wide support and preparation aimed at passing the examination by the shortest route. Preparation for written examinations and an understanding of examination trends are being emphasized, while career opportunities such as changing jobs or becoming independent are also being discussed.
In a reader survey, Professional Engineer certification was cited as the qualification most effective in improving external evaluations, and guidance on civil engineering-related qualifications is also being expanded.
