Approximately 300 vehicles gathered at Okayama International Circuit for the first RAYS FAN MEETING WEST in western Japan. Many vehicles fitted with TEAM DAYTONA wheels entered the event, highlighting the styling of a diverse range of models, including the Land Cruiser 250 and RAV4.
The first RAYS FAN MEETING WEST held in western Japan drew approximately 300 vehicles to the C Paddock at Okayama International Circuit. In addition to sports-oriented wheels from brands such as Volk Racing and Gram Lights, many vehicles fitted with TEAM DAYTONA wheels also took part and attracted attention. This feature focuses on the vehicles that drew attention at the event.
The first vehicle introduced was a Land Cruiser 250 fitted with TEAM DAYTONA D108 wheels and 18-inch 275/70R18 tires. The simple eight-spoke design and matte-black finish accentuated the vehicle’s sporty character. Features highlighted included weight-saving cutouts on the reverse side and machined logo detailing on the rim flange.
Next, a vehicle fitted with D9 wheels was shown with 18-inch 275/70R18 tires, highlighting the nine-hole disc with a lotus-root design. The beadlock-style design and stepped rim with deep contours created a three-dimensional appearance, giving the Land Cruiser 250 an outdoor character and a strong presence. The colour varied from vehicle to vehicle, resulting in markedly different impressions.
A vehicle with the same D9 wheels but different tire size and colour was also shown. It used 265/70R18 tires, with a black and disc-clear-smoke colour scheme that changed the look around the wheels. The change in tire width also had a major effect on the overall impression of the combination.
The RAV4 was fitted with 16-inch M9+ wheels and 265/70R16 tires. The powerful tread pattern extending around the sidewalls, beadlock-style rim design and three-dimensional centre section reinforced its off-road character, demonstrating a balance between everyday driving and an outdoor-oriented style.
